My Mommy

Always there to give you a hug,
Make you feel snug in their arms.
Kiss away those dreadful tears,
Support you throughout the confusing years.
Giving you encouraging advice to heal
Those mixed emotions that you feel.
Always having a pal to be comforted by,
You just try to be understood.
No one comprehends your life,
No one shares your strife.
However, there’s that one person that makes you feel good,
They put you in such a great mood.
They’ll be with you for an eternity,
And support you during maternity.
No matter what you do for a living,
They’ve been there for you since the beginning.
They were there when you first scraped your knee
And were terrified when you learned to climb a tree.
They’ll always think you’re the bomb,
No one else but your mom.
